This is information that every character that is in the arena would be able to determine by basic observation or from being told. In short every person can assume that their character knows any information that is posted in this thread.

Basic Arena and Sanjak Overview Empty The Arena

Post  Masonimo Tue Mar 20, 2012 2:04 pm

Description: The arena is HUGE! It is basically a small city within the city of Sanjak. It has it's own weapons shops, armories, magic shops, and stores of all kinds. Individual tribes are able to rent sections of the arena to create their own items, house their champions, stage their own small fights, and pretty much anything else you can imagine. If a up and coming clan desires and has the money then they can rent one of these sections as well. They can be reformatted at almost any time to accommodate the current residents. They also may be outfitted with magical protection but that is up to the tribes. The center of the arena is the "Pit" this is where all fights take place. It can seemingly be changed into any environment including oceans or deserts. Before every fight those involved receive three questions in order to prepare properly for the coming events. Every section of the arena has a entrance point. The more money or higher prestige then the better the entrance. Anyone is free to explore the arena and even wander the city if desired. It is a neutral world with few laws or boundaries. However, those who were sold into the arena are given a trace. If one does not show up for a fight or is in an area they should not be in an discovered than the trace is able to disable them on the spot and send out a tracking signal to be found.

Tribes: The Arena is run by the Dynasty tribe. This does not mean that they control it but more that they are the organizers as long as everyone is happy with their work. Thus they have to maintain a balance of entertainment and control that makes them open to influence. However, they are balancing many tribes so they have limits to influence as well. All other main tribes are invested in the arena to some degree and are always using it for their personal gain either in wealth, power, or influence. New tribes or clans are rising all the time and creating allies or enemies in order to achieve their own agendas. The chaos this creates is only held in check by so many controversial agendas trying to be accomplished.

Opportunity: The opportunities are endless. Anything is possible if one plays their cards right. Since the climate has so many pieces it is always changing providing new opportunity to those who know how to take advantage of it. One can create whatever lifestyle they desire. Imagination is the limit on this. (OOC: Since there is no built in overarching story line to this campaign you can create whatever you want though understand that there are sometimes serious complications to actions and there will always be some repercussion to every choice.)

Questions: If any of you have any questions about your surroundings that were you there you could easily observe feel free to ask in this thread. Otherwise I will just post things as I see fit according to what I hear as feedback.
